# Plugins

The [You.com skills](/docs/agents/skills) install into eleven agent platforms through each host's native plugin system. One repo, [youdotcom-oss/agent-skills](https://github.com/youdotcom-oss/agent-skills), ships the manifests and packages. Every path delivers the same four skills: `you-web`, `you-research`, `you-finance`, and `you-discover`.

## Skills, Plugins, and MCP Servers

Skills, plugins, and MCP servers are three different layers. Skills are what the agent knows—routing and usage guidance for You.com surfaces. Plugins are how it gets them—packaging for your host's install and update mechanism. MCP servers are what it calls—the tools that hit the You.com APIs.

Installing a plugin gives you skills plus guidance. Configuring MCP alone gives you tools without that guidance—still the right choice when you want raw tool access and nothing else.

### OpenCode: `@youdotcom-oss/opencode`

Installs the four skills and configures the You.com MCP servers in OpenCode in a single step. The `you`, `you-research`, and `you-finance` servers sign in with your You.com account through OpenCode's remote MCP support. The `you-free` and `you-docs` servers need no auth. ### OpenClaw: `@youdotcom-oss/openclaw`

Packages the four skills with setup metadata for the You.com provider, so OpenClaw walks through `YDC_API_KEY` configuration on install. The plugin entry point is runtime-free—the skills and metadata do the work. `you-search` and `you-discover` run without credentials. ### Pi: `@youdotcom-oss/pi`

Registers the four skills and bridges the You.com MCP servers into Pi: `you`, `you-research`, and `you-finance` read `YDC_API_KEY` as a bearer token, while `you-free`, `you-discover`, and `you-docs` need no key. ### Hermes: Agent Plugins Package

Ships as a portable [Agent Plugins](https://agent-plugins.org/specification) package installed straight from GitHub—Hermes shows an unreviewed-source warning because it comes from outside the Hermes plugin catalog, and it installs disabled until `hermes plugins enable you`.
