ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY 

You.com is committed to the responsible and safe use of our Services. This Acceptable Use Policy or “AUP” is designed to promote the safety of our users and the responsible and fair use of our Services. This AUP applies to anyone using our Services. If you access or use our Services you agree to this AUP.

We want everyone to use You.com safely and responsibly. You agree you will not use, or allow others to use, You.com to: 

1. Violate, intrude upon, or compromise another’s privacy, such as:

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to – or violating the security, integrity, or availability of - any user, network, computer, device, or communications system, software application, or network, including spoofing and social engineering.
  • Accessing, collecting, processing, sharing, disclosing (e.g. doxing), inferring or generating health, demographic, or other sensitive personal or private information without consent, and without complying with applicable legal requirements.
  • Misusing, collecting, soliciting, or otherwise gaining access to private or sensitive information without permission such as health data or Social Security Numbers, Driver’s licenses, credit card numbers, bank account information, API keys, or passwords or other non-public contact details.
  • Inputting photos, audio/visual content and other personal data for the processing of an individual’s biometric identifiers or information without consent.
  • Misusing, collecting, soliciting, or otherwise gaining unauthorized access to confidential or proprietary information.

2. Violate the law or engage, encourage, contribute, incite, or further illegal or unlawful activity or content, such as: 

  • Creating, soliciting, acquiring, or distributing child exploitative content.
  • Engaging in a regulated activity without complying with applicable regulations.
  • Developing, producing, acquiring, or distributing counterfeit or illicitly acquired goods or services or illegal substances or services.
  • Participating or facilitating in the harassment, abuse, threatening, or bullying of individuals or groups of individuals.
  • Discriminating in employment, employment benefits, credit, housing, other economic benefits, or other essential goods and services.
  • Engaging or facilitating in the unauthorized or unlicensed practice of any profession including, but not limited to, financial, legal, medical/health, or related professional practices.
  • Generating content that infringes, misappropriates, or otherwise violates any third-party rights.
  • Promoting violence, extremism, terrorism, hateful behavior or other criminal behavior.
  • Engaging in sexual solicitation, human trafficking, exploitation, or sexual violence

3. Abuse or misuse our platform, such as:

  • Creating, generating or distributing  malicious code, malware, computer viruses or anything else that could disable, overburden, interfere with or impair the proper working, integrity, operation or appearance of our Services or a website or computer system. 
  • Creating, generating or distributing spam.
  • Intentionally bypassing capabilities or restrictions established within our Services.
  • Engaging in harmful or malicious acts such as bot/scraping, technical attacks, excess usage or prompt based manipulation.

4. Engage in activities that present a risk of serious harm to, or that may significantly affect the safety, health, wellbeing, or rights of, others, such as:

  • Engaging or facilitating in the discrimination or other unlawful or harmful conduct in the provision of employment, employment benefits, credit, housing, other economic benefits, or other essential goods and services.
  • Promoting or facilitating discriminatory practices or behaviors against individuals or groups on the basis of one or more protected attributes such as race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, or any other identifying trait.
  • Promoting, facilitating or concealing any form self-harm or harm to others, including suicide, cutting, or compulsive exercise or eating disorders.
  • Developing or distributing content intended to incite or promote violence, abuse, or any infliction of bodily harm to an individual.
  • Shaming, humiliating, intimidating, bullying, harassing, or celebrating the suffering of individuals.
  • Creating, generating or distributing content that depicts gratuitous violence, cruelty, abuse, sex or gore.
  • Creating, generating or distributing content that is inappropriate for minors.
  • Creating, generating, promoting, or disseminating defamatory content, including the creation of defamatory statements, images, or other content.

5. Share or spread misinformation or otherwise attempt to deceive or mislead others, such as:

  • Creating, generating, promoting, or furthering disinformation, misinformation, or false online engagement.
  • Engaging in, promoting, or furthering scholarly dishonesty.
  • Impersonating another individual or organization, or creating fake personas to falsely attribute content or mislead others about its origin without consent, authorization, or legal right.
