You.com Raises $100M Series C at a $1.5 Billion Valuation to Build the Infrastructure for the Agentic Era

The Missing Infrastructure for the Agentic Era

AI has entered a new age. Soon there will be more AI agents using the web than humans, but today's search infrastructure wasn't designed for this. It was built for humans to click on links and get shallow responses. AI agents need deep, contextual information from both private company data and public web data to make decisions and ultimately take actions.

That’s the gap You.com fills.

We have built the highways of the agentic era: a platform that integrates multiple data sources, selects the right model for the task, and delivers accurate, trusted results at enterprise scale. With our APIs and end-to-end solutions, we’re on a mission to help every company finally move from experimentation to transformation.

To accelerate that mission, we're excited to share that we raised $100 million in Series C funding at a $1.5 billion valuation, led by Cox Enterprises, with participation from several existing investors such as Georgian, Salesforce Ventures, and Norwest. We’re also welcoming David Yang to our Board from Socium Ventures, a venture and growth investment fund launched by Cox Enterprises.

Building Trusted AI for the Enterprise

When ChatGPT launched in November 2022, people began to understand the magic of large language models. But the problem with LLMs' knowledge cutoff was equally apparent. That December, we started to solve this problem by connecting LLMs to live web data with verifiable citations.

As we nearly eliminated hallucinations and built trustworthy AI, other companies asked us to do the same for them. That was the beginning of our APIs and the start of you.com’s transition to becoming an AI infrastructure company.

But accuracy isn't enough. We also offer:

  • Privacy and security - We offer zero data retention and many other enterprise-grade features and customizations.
  • Model flexibility - We're model agnostic, so when a new model comes out, you're not stuck with the old.
  • Complete data access - We blend private company data with live public web data, enabling agents that actually mirror expert reasoning.

This creates trust at enterprise-scale.

Today, we process over 1 billion queries monthly with our API for companies like DuckDuckGo, Windsurf, Harvey, and others across technology, e-commerce, financial services, media, manufacturing, hospitality and more.

What’s more, our benchmarks show we outperform major players like Bing’s API and Google's search API and all other smaller startups on both accuracy and speed while remaining cost-effective.

How We Can Help You

No matter where you are in your AI journey, we offer two approaches:

For developers looking for accurate, fast APIs: Use our composable infrastructure: web and news search at different levels of speed and accuracy, deep research that synthesizes hundreds of sources with best-in-class accuracy, image search, private RAG systems, and custom agent capabilities—all based on learnings from 100,000+ agents built on you.com in the last 12 months.

For enterprises looking for complete solutions: We'll partner with your team to design and build end-to-end AI applications tailored to your specific workflows. We've built custom AI agents for major news, finance, retail, and health organizations serving billions of end users.

AI models today are incredibly capable, but they need the right infrastructure to reach their full potential. It's like we built self-driving cars before we had highways. At you.com, we're building the highways, so these agents can go as far as possible as fast as possible.
