GitHub Copilot CLI
The You.com plugin for GitHub Copilot CLI installs four skills and the You.com MCP servers from the agent-skills repo. The MCP servers give Copilot tools such as you-search, you-contents, you-research, and you-finance. The skills tell it when to use each one and how to cite what it finds.
The Docs MCP server lets your agent search over the entirety of these docs. Free to use.
Install https://you.com/docs/_mcp/server. See the Docs MCP Server guide to learn more.

Use the MCP Server Without the Plugin

Troubleshooting
Plugin not found in marketplace
Inside a Copilot CLI session, refresh the marketplace with /plugin marketplace update you-com, then retry /plugin install you@you-com.
You.com tools missing after install
Run copilot plugin list to confirm you is installed. If it’s disabled, run copilot plugin enable you, then start a new session.
Duplicate You.com tools
If you added the MCP server by hand before installing the plugin, remove the manual entry with /mcp delete you-com.
